What We Do
Haven Care Australia is highly reliable and trustworthy NDIS Service Provider in the ACT, providing excellent support solutions to participants who are dealing with injury or illness.
We provide supported housing, transition accommodation, respite care, complex care services and outreach support. We have a variety of services and levels of care, each unique and individual, just like the needs of our participants.
We are committed to meeting all of your health needs and go above and beyond to ensure you get the best care available.
How We're Different
Haven Care was started by Anne Joson, a registered nurse of 10 years who suffered a life-challenging health scare and decided that if she recovered, she would provide support to people with disability. And she has done just that!
Anne's and her support team has deep experience with mental health and physical disability care in accommodation or in the home.
They are trained in complex care techniques and are supported by 2 full time registered nurses who assist in training, guidance and implementing management plans.
What We Offer
In-home supports:
- In-home personal care support
- Complex Care: bowel care, complex catheter care. hoists, PEG
- Experience with Huntington's disease and other medical diseases that have disability related effects.
- Accessing the community
- Medicine supervisions and support: performing medication administration and recording for participants with complex mental health issues
- Community nursing
SIL - Mental Health supported accommodation
Haven Care have 4 SIL accommodation houses with support for participants with psychosocial disabilities.
They are on single levels and may have a maximum of 3 residents in each house.
Residents range in age from their late 18s to late 70s. They offer 24/7 support from well trained and experienced mental health support workers. In addition, a full time Registered Nurse is onsite to oversee all support, providing training and advice.
These Haven homes are located close to bus stops and shopping areas.
SIL - Physical Disability supported accommodation
Haven Care have 3 accessible SIL accommodation houses for participants with physical disabilities. These homes are purpose built with hard floorings, high ceilings, large doorways, accessible bathrooms, large hallways and breath-taking views. They offer 24/7 SIL complex care support from experienced support workers who have experience with all aspects of complex physical support including bowel care, PEG and catheter care, and operating hoists.
In addition, a Registered Nurse is in residence to oversee all support, providing training and advice.
These Haven homes are located close to bus stops and shopping areas.
Medium Term Accommodation and Respite
Haven Care also offers Medium Term Accommodation for participants who need interim accommodation whilst they wait on home modifications or have been discharged from the hospital.
They can also offer participants a 'holiday respite', making sure they have the best time visiting the snow, zoo or just getting outdoors.
