Awesome Group is a social and special interest group for 10-15 year olds on the autism spectrum.

The group is not therapeutic, instead we use astrengths-based approachto concentrate on the inherent strengths an individual has with the goal to focus on the positive.

Centred around individual interests, Awesome is a place where you can come to have fun, develop new friendships and learn new skills.

Transitioning from primary to high school can be a time of excitement, but also of worry about changes to familiar routines.

The Awesome Group has been designed with this in mind and provides a more sheltered and structured environment where social skills can be developed and practised, making the transition easier.

As a member of the group, we invite YOU to make the decisions on what you would like to do as a group from start to finish.

This way, you learn about each other while exploring things you are actually interested in.
