Coiled Basketry Workshop | MyCareSpace

About

This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to take a step-in exploring Basketry or simply wanting to nourish their creative side with the meditative practice.

During this class you will learn how to start, shape and finish a woven vessel with Madagascan palm raffia attached to a teak base.

We discuss various ways you can decorate your basket, how to dye the fibres and different materials that you can forage to continue your practice of weaving with the coiling technique.

This workshop is suitable for beginner weavers.

No previous experience is necessary and all materials including nibbles and refreshments will be provided.

Please note this workshop unfortunately does not have wheelchair access.
