At Forest School, the children engage all their senses.

They experiment, discover and explore the real world around them.

These engaging, open ended experiences can support their creative learning.

Their play is investigative, and the natural environment ignites their natural curiosity to learn.

Children are encouraged to solve problems and to engage in teamwork, as they play and learn outdoors, in all types of weather; rain, hail and shine!

Children that would not necessarily do well or cope in a highly structured indoor classroom environment, thrive in an outdoor one.

Our team of Forest School leaders are a combination of qualified teachers (primary and early childhood) and certified Forest School leaders.

Our educators have completed extensive training and have many years of experience working with children outdoors.

We support your child where they are at and we work with you to achieve the best outcome for your child.

The Forest School environment is diverse, challenging and forever changing.

There are many new and exciting risks that the children have to navigate.

We have rules and policies in place that every child needs to be able to follow to keep themselves and everyone safe.

If we assess that your child needs extra support to keep them safe, then we will work with you to providethat extraassistance and we may on occasions ask that you (or another family member) stay during the sessions.

When:Thursdays during the term.

Both morning and afternoon sessions are available.

9.30 - 12.30pm and 1.30 - 4.30pm Venue:Banksia Park and Templestowe Park Age Group: 5 - 8 years (3 hour drop off) Carers can stay if needed to support their child
